Electronic Sawyer

A preliminary or ‘beta’ version of the Revised Sawyer database, designated the ‘Electronic Sawyer’, was first made available online in 2007, with technical support from the Centre for Computing in the Humanities (CCH) at King’s College London. It presented the data in browsable form, but in that form had limited ‘search’ facilities. In 2010 the Electronic Sawyer underwent significant further development at CCH, and it is now hosted at Cambridge. This is the form in which the data collected for the Revised Sawyer is currently available online.

It is intended, of course, that the Electronic Sawyer will be updated whenever the opportunity should arise, and that it will at the same time be improved in various ways. For an indication of what we have in mind, see the Further Development page on the Electronic Sawyer website.
